DUTIES OF STEWARDS
Attend to the reception, classification and placing of all exhibits and to all matters in connection therewith.
Wait upon the judges, furnish them with award papers, prize cards and ribbons, and afford them all the information and attention necessary to the discharge of their duties.
Sign the award papers conjointly with the judges and see that the prize cards or ribbons are properly affixed to the prize exhibits.
Arrange amongst themselves for the constant and effective supervision of their sections, the behaviour of the attendants, and the comfort and convenience of both exhibitors and the public.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Exhibitors intending to bring electrical equipment to the showground will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and tagged by a licensed electrical contractor.
This is essential for the safety of yourself, your fellow exhibitors and the general public and is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 2005. The Act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with its provisions.
Exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed to exhibit at the showground.
PLEASE CHECK ALL YOUR ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND LEADS BEFORE YOU COME TO THE SHOWGROUND TO AVOID THE OCCURRENCE OF ANY DIFFICULTIES.
NO DOGS ON SHOWGROUND
In the interest of public safety and comfort, dogs are not permitted to enter onto the grounds. Any unattended dog found on the ground will be removed to the Campbelltown City Council’s pound and no responsibility will be accepted for the costs involved in having the animal released. Persons with attended or leashed dogs will be denied entry to the grounds with the animal except for performing dogs approved by the society and those participating in the Pet Show in which circumstances the dog must be on a leash and under control. Attention is drawn to local government regulations governing the control of dogs, the cost of impounding and the possible destruction of unclaimed animals in the pound.
